Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, practical tools for wellbeing.
Tailored therapy
Mental well-being begins with insight and develops into a lasting quality of life. It is something that can be strengthened in everyone, regardless of age, background and life situation. Common symptoms are negative thoughts, worry, anxiety and depression. It can also be about self-criticism, low self-esteem or the experience of being stuck in limiting thoughts and behaviors, which are difficult to break. With structured evidence-based tools, you can develop new ways to meet the challenges you face.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is an effective evidence-based therapy, with well-documented treatment effectiveness. It is a further development of cognitive theory and learning psychology. Cognitive theory shows how the interpretation of experiences affects thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Learning psychology explains how behaviors are formed, maintained and can be changed.
A treatment usually includes 5–20 sessions. For limited problems, we focus on the present and future. Complex problems may be influenced by previous experiences. We work with measurable goals and concrete treatment outcomes. The goal for social anxiety, fear of being negatively judged, may be to speak in front of a group or to take the initiative in social situations. Homework is given between sessions to implement new insights into everyday life.
