Therapy is a conversation-based form of support and treatment that can promote personal development, improved mental health, and the ability to cope with life’s challenges. However, it should not be regarded as medical treatment and cannot replace psychiatric care, medical evaluations, or pharmacological treatment. I am not responsible for medical decisions or consequences that fall outside the scope of my professional role. If needed, you should always consult with a physician, psychiatrist, or other medical care provider.

I do not provide emergency medical care or immediate crisis intervention. You have the right to support and assistance, do not hesitate to seek emergency care if your situation requires it. Confidentiality Policy
As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I am bound by the confidentiality regulations of the Swedish Health and Medical Services Act (Patientsäkerhetslagen and Offentlighets- och sekretesslagen). All information you share with me during sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed without your explicit consent—unless there is a legal obligation to break confidentiality (e.g., in cases involving risk to life). As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I am bound by professional secrecy according to the Patient Safety Act (2010:659), the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act (OSL), and the ethical guidelines that apply to psychotherapeutic practice. This means that all information disclosed during sessions, in writing, or through digital communication is treated with the utmost confidentiality and is never shared with a third party without the client’s explicit consent.

Exceptions to Professional Secrecy
Confidentiality can only be breached in specific cases under applicable law, such as:

If there is suspicion that a child is being harmed (mandatory reporting under Chapter 14, Section 1 of the Social Services Act)

If there is an imminent danger to someone’s life or health

If a court, police, or other authority legally requests the release of information
In such situations, a professional assessment is always made, and you as the client will be informed in advance whenever possible.
Confidentiality of Records
I keep records in accordance with the Patient Data Act (2008:355). Only I, as your therapist, have access to your record. It is stored securely in accordance with legal requirements for availability, traceability, information security, and confidentiality. Paper records or documents are kept in a locked space. You have the right to: request an extract from your record, correct inaccurate information, and request that an entry be blocked or removed.
Digital Communication and Technical Security
All digital information (records, bookings, email) is protected with strong passwords, encryption, and two-factor authentication wherever possible. Email, SMS, and other electronic messages are used only for administrative purposes such as booking or cancellations. Sensitive information is never sent via insecure channels. If you choose to contact me via email or SMS, it is regarded as informed consent for that form of communication.
