Wellbeing and personal growth

The CognitiveLit symbolizes inner clarity and self-reflection. When we pay attention to thoughts, feelings and behaviors, the opportunity for understanding and change is created. In the meeting between knowledge, evidence and empathy, healing and personal development occur. Together we explore what is holding you back, and create new opportunities.

The CognitiveLit is a private therapy clinic in Vasastan, Stockholm. There is the possibility of evening and weekend sessions, as well as online therapy. My name is Linda Boivie and I work as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, with training approved by the Swedish social welfare board.

Are you longing for a life without anxiety, stress, and sleep problems or are you seeking personal growth? Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a well-researched method proven effective for various forms of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, stress, low mood, and phobias.

We focus on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—how they are maintained and how they can be changed. The treatment is structured, active, and tailored to the individual. Together, we work toward change using effective tools, with a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship at the core.

Sometimes, moving forward in life can feel difficult. Certain life challenges cannot be changed. Existential concerns related to illness, work difficulties, family problems, or the loss of a loved one can be overwhelming. In the midst of such situations, it can be valuable to share these thoughts and emotions.

Counseling and crisis support offer a first step in a difficult moment. This support is provided as a short-term intervention during an acute phase, but it may also serve as the beginning of a longer therapeutic process.

Relationships can be our greatest source of joy, but also of pain. In couples therapy, you receive support in understanding and breaking destructive patterns, strengthening communication, and rebuilding closeness. Together, we explore how individual needs, differences, and vulnerabilities shape the dynamics of your relationship.

The treatment is tailored to your unique situation, using methods that combine change work with acceptance. The goal is to foster greater understanding, safety, and long-term solutions grounded in respect and collaboration. All couples are welcome, regardless of orientation or identity.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) can help you explore ambivalence. The conversations may increase your self-awareness, strengthen your motivation, and provide guidance if you want to make changes in life.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and mindfulness can support you in facing difficulties and self-criticism with warmth and understanding. They can foster greater self-awareness, inner strength, and self-compassion.

Mindfulness involves observing thoughts and emotions as they are, without judging or being guided by them. By practicing acceptance, you can live more in line with your values, even when discomfort is present.

Schema Therapy is particularly helpful for those whose self-image has been shaped by painful childhood experiences or a lack of emotional care. It is an evidence-based development of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, founded by American psychologist Dr. Jeffrey Young.

Early experiences influence how you think, feel, and act both in relation to yourself and to others. By identifying deeply rooted patterns, known as schemas, new ways of responding to emotions and unmet needs can be developed.
