Third Wave Therapy
Drained by inner struggle
Do you feel stuck, conflicted, or uncertain about your next steps in life? Perhaps you have clear goals but struggle with procrastination or lack of structure. Or maybe you want to practice acceptance in difficult life circumstances. When thoughts race and the body struggles to relax, it is common to try to manage discomfort and worry by avoiding, overanalyzing, or attempting to control thoughts and emotions. In the short term, this may provide relief, but over time it often leads to increased stress and an internal struggle that consumes a lot of energy.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
The core of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), developed by psychologist and researcher Steven Hayes, is psychological flexibility, the ability to be present in the present moment, even when life is stormy.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy aims to value-based action, even in the presence of discomfort. By noticing, accepting and facing difficult emotions such as fear, sadness or shame with acceptance, the internal experience of pain and discomfort can be changed. Discomfort is allowed to exist, without being judged or guided.

Compassion-focused Therapy
Many people with mental health challenges carry strong self-criticism, shame and feelings of inadequacy. Compassion-focused therapy (CFT) helps the client develop a kind, understanding and caring attitude towards themselves.
When we meet ourselves with understanding instead of criticism, space is created for healing and personal growth. Developing self-compassion means seeing one's difficulties as part of being human. During therapy, we work on developing a kind and accepting attitude, understanding the brain's emotional system and creating security in the body through breathing, posture and presence.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Motivational interviewing (MI) can help you find direction when you experience ambivalence, low energy or lack of motivation. MI is an evidence-based interviewing method that strengthens self-insight by making thought patterns, feelings and values visible.
The sessions function both as concrete support in everyday life and as strategic guidance for long-term change. Together we explore your current situation and identify the areas that are most important for you to work on.
Value exercises make fundamental driving forces clear, which creates a stable foundation for conscious decisions and directed focus towards desirable change, even in the face of adversity, ambivalence or stress. By exploring the tension between the longing for something new and the security of the familiar, the possibilities of finding a path forward that feels both sustainable and meaningful.
