Acceptance and selfawarness

Drained by Inner Struggle

Do you feel stuck, conflicted, or uncertain about your next steps in life? Perhaps you have clear goals but struggle with procrastination or lack of structure. Or maybe you want to develop new habits, change behaviors, and strengthen your self-esteem. When thoughts race and the body struggles to relax, it is common to try to manage discomfort and worry by avoiding, overanalyzing, or attempting to control thoughts and emotions. In the short term, this may provide relief, but over time it often leads to increased stress and an internal struggle that consumes a lot of energy.

Clarity through change

The core of third-wave therapies focuses on adopting a new relationship to thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The emphasis is on acceptance, allowing thoughts and emotions to exist without judgment or the need to control them. Through mindfulness, presence in the moment is cultivated along with greater awareness of both internal and external experiences. Third-wave therapies also emphasize self-compassion and reduced self-criticism, creating more space for personal growth and psychological well-being.

During processes of change, ambivalence is common, with both desire and hesitation toward transformation. A central aspect of third-wave therapy is identifying your values and allowing them to serve as a compass in life, guiding you toward living in alignment with what truly feels meaningful.
