ACT utilizes techniques to reduce self-criticism, break destructive thought and behavior patterns, and enhance self-compassion and emotional regulation. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) integrates mindfulness exercises and cognitive strategies to foster a more accepting and balanced relationship with emotions, promoting improved mental well-being and reducing emotional reactivity.
